Best Family Beach Vacations

If you are looking for some of the best family beach vacations, there is a massive list to choose from. That's no surprise to you i know, but it does sometimes make the decision seem a little daunting. The best idea is to think about what would make the ideal family holiday then go and see if anything resembes it.

The USA has a massive stretch of coastline, and you can look at any map of the world to see coastlines in country after country. One of the first things you should decide is whether you want to go abroad or stay home. This will narrow your choice straight away, and cut out huge amounts of indecision.

Once you have made that first choice, the next thing to consider is what exactly you and your family want from the vacation.

For example, if you have young children, you may want a theme park location, which will not only keep them occupied, but excited as well. Theme parks will keep adults happy too, but the downsides are the cost which can soon spiral, and the fact that it's so manic you may come home feeling like you need another holiday!

If the children are younger, you can opt for the more relaxed option if you wish, as the younger ones are quite happy pottering about in pools looking for crabs, or building holes and sandcastles on the beach.

If you have older children, then maybe you could go for a mixture of the relaxed and adventurous. What about watersports?, The kids can try their hand at surfing or sailing, or maybe they want to enjoy some horse riding, either on the beach or somewhere inland.

It could be that the whole family just wants to chill by the pool! If that's the case, you don't actually need to go to the coast to do that, but there is a psychological aspect to that fact, as being by the sea equals being 'on vacation' - even if you never even look at the sea, let alone go near it! If you can bear one anothers company all day, this is a good choice.

So to sum it all up, make the 'abroad or stay in the country' decision first, and then focus on what you want to get from the vacation, so that you can narrow down your search even more.
